Fun in the sun at the hotel...ahh...it's great to be in warm, sunny California!

What's a trip to California without a little beach???

Fun at Aunt Kari's...right?

We thought it would be fun to have all of the cousins lie in a circle and take a picture...it didn't quite work, but the effort was fun!

Waylon's Farewell

We went to Waylon Huffman's mission farewell on Sunday, December 13th. He is going to the Phillipines. We are so excited for him and we know that he will be a great missionary!

After the farewell, Jeff and Sissy hosted a little luncheon at their home.

Here is Waylon and Melissa...not sure what they are doing!
The Huffman's have a tradition of making snowflakes at their house every year...here Sissy is helping everyone join in on the fun!
Jeff Huffman giving Zoe lots of good advice, I'm sure.
Jeff and Buckley. I think Jeff is about to put him in a head-lock!

Waylon showing the food in his mouth- always a goof ball!

Nie Nie's Full Story

here

Saturday, December 5, 2009

Do you read this blog?

The Nie Nie Dialogues here.

If you don't already, then you should...like right now.

After reading about the plane crash that nearly took her life...and then following her sister's blog for MONTHS while she fought for her life... and then finally hanging on to EVERY word that she has written through her painful, emotional recovery...sometimes laughing, and sometimes with tears streaming down my face...I can't help but feel like I know her. Stephanie Nielson could be your friend, you'll wish she WAS your friend!

I know that she has hard days...she says so herself. But I marvel at the way that she has embraced her new life and approached each day with gratitude and love. Her story truly is inspiring!

The Arizona Republic is doing a feature on her tomorrow in their Sunday paper . Go here for a little preview.
